'Keeping Watch' (Photo Tutorial)
First of all, I collected up the products needed to create a 'Monotone' piece that included using a Stencil...Here I have chosen to use Purple tones.
Distress Oxides for background are: Wilted Violet & Seedless Preserve
Versafine Clair Ink for stamping is: Monarch
Then, using a Brayer, I applied a good layer of Wilted Violet Distress Oxide
Next, using a size 3 Fan Brush, I flicked water over the brayered ink, then placed my card (6x6" white smooth 300gsm) over the top and rubbed the back of the card to soak up the ink & water
This was the result
Next stage was to spray the stencil with water but wiped off what was around the outside edge, then placed it water side down, onto my background & let it sit for a minute. I then lifted the stencil & used a piece of kitchen towel to soak up the water that remained
This was the result.
Next I took a piece of torn paper, the Seedless Preserve Oxide & used a blending tool o create the Landscape & an acetate circle with Wilted Violet Oxide to create the Moon
Now I needed to add the Stamps using Versafine Clair Ink: Monarch
Stamps used were: Forest Scene LAV524. Meadow Mushroom LAV563.
Wild Hares Set LAV608 & Birds LAV097
I then used a purple coloured fine liner pen to draw in some tufts of grass & then put in all of the highlights using a Uni Ball Signo white gel pen...

Now using the Versafine Clair Monarch again, I blended the ink around all four edges of the picture to pull it all together
Last of all I cut a piece of Lavender card (6.25 x 6.25") & a piece of Purple card
(6.5 x 6.5") & layered them all up to finish my picture & ..........voila!
