I‘m having a devil of a time making this program work today! I’ll try again, but bear with me... This is another easy project that includes a brayered image using Distress Oxide inks and the mermaid tail from Pink & Main.
I used a 4.5” x 2.5” piece of multifarious card for this background image and brayered Mowed Lawn onto my 3”x 5” Gelli plate before placing the stencil over and using a smoothie to add Fossilized Amber over the stencil. That’s what gives this a layered look!
Next, I selected Samuel for the main focal point using Versafine Clair Nocturne before adding the sweet phrase in Shady Lane. I grounded Samuel using Verdant before coloring in his image with Gelly Roll pens.
I grabbed two of my fav Gelly Roll pens: Copper and Sparkle and colored in Samuel’s shell and being before adding the grass with Versafine Clair Shady Lane second generation.
I edged the card with a smoothie and Shady Lane to bring the focus in to Samuel before adding Hero Hues Pesto card stock to finish. Hope you’ve enjoyed this tutorial and would guess that you could add this idea to a larger card with other characters to tell the story. Me? I’m an avid reader so I enjoy making these bookmarks as small gifts to my friends when they’re marking their place in a book!
