The Lavinia Stamps that I used are miniature Dragon, Cherry blossom, Skeleton Tree Scene and Dragon Stone Castle. The inks that I used are Distress ink Aged Mahogany, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar. I stamped the castle using VersaFine Clair Glamorous and the trees in VersaFine Clair Pinecone. I cut white cardstock at 3 1/2" x 9". I wanted a cloudy background so I used a cloud template that I made years ago. Cut out a circle and tape or glue on the big circle 6 scalloped circles. I taped them so the scalloped circles are at different heights. Lay the template on your paper and use either a blending brush or a dobber and brush the ink over the scalloped circles. You rotate as you go and you will get a cloudy sky. If you want more definition use more than one color.
I used Distress Ink Spun Sugar. As I was making my clouds some on the blue came off and made for some subtle contrasting.
I stamped the castle using VersaFine Clair Glamorous. I grounded the castle by tearing a piece of paper towel in a curved shaped to look like a small hill and used Distress Ink Aged Mahogany. I stamped the Cherry Blossom in Distress Ink Picked Raspberry. I wanted bushes around the castle and I didn't have any I liked so I used the Skeleton Tree Scene stamps and only inked the top of the trees with Versafine Clair Pinecone to give me the bushes that I wanted.
I used a yellow pencil to add a little color to the cherry blossoms. I used a white and gold gel pen to give dimension to the castle and the bushes and cherry blossoms. I use gellyroll sparkle pen to trace the outline of the clouds to add a little sparkle to the background. I mounted the card on a bright pink cardstock and then on a light pink card. This card will in a business envelope.
